Our Story

We are the Frate Family, the owners and operators of the Parks Feed and Mercantile.

Shawn and Sandy met at Northern Arizona University in 1992 and after knowing each other for many years, finally went on our first date in 1999. Yup, you read that right... It took Shawn 7 years to ask Sandy out! We were married in 2001 and have two wonderful children, Jacob and Lauren.

Shawn worked in the fuel distribution business for 26 years and Sandy grew up in the hotel business with years of customer service. We strive to provide an excellent experience for everyone who walks through the doors of our store.

Jacob is studying engineering at the University of Arizona. Lauren is studying Fashion Design and Merchandising at Arizona State University. Yes, we are now a house divided! you will see them working at the store when they are not away at school.

We are excited to serve the Parks Community and visitors who are traveling through Northern Arizona.
